Description: This is similar to the cross that was used to produce Sarracenia 'Alucard', a Phil Falisi creation. A different clone of flava var. rubricorpora was used in the original batch of seeds. We have a nice spectrum of looks from this crossing ranging from a cut throat Moorei, to a solid red Flava dominant presence.
This is one of the two Sarracenia cultivars that can be reproduced with seeds. Any seedlings of this parentage that match the broad cultivar description (tall and red) can be labeled Sarracenia 'Alucard'.
Each plant is genetically unique and special.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant Sarracenia in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
