Description: If you repeatedly cross a hybrid to one of its parents, its called introgressive hybridization. The parentage of these plants is [(rubra ssp gulfensis x psittacina) x minor var. okefenokeensis] x minor var. okefenokeensis.
Here is the important bit of information. These young seedlings appear to have more leaves, sturdier leaves, and stronger spring growth than S. minor var. okefenokeensis! Each plant is different and special, most of them have the appearance of minor, some of them have more red.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant Sarracenia in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
