Sarracenia ‘Alucard’ x 'Doreen’s Colossus' is a complex hybrid involving Flava, Oreophilla and Leucophylla. This clone has a red body and yellow lid with a large gaping moutht with a standout look to it. It's truly a monster. This plant will make its best leaves in spring.
Bengal Tiger" pitcher plant is the hybrid of the purple pitcher plant (Sarracenia purpurea) and trumpet pitcher plant (S. flava). The common name for this cross, Catesby's pitcher plant, is variable and extremely attractive cross that is coveted by gardeners. This particular clone is an excellent bog garden pitcher plant that won't dissapoint. "Bengal Tiger" produces spectacular red-veined open mouths on short, tubby yellow leaves. The foliage matures to a rich maroon and is most valued for its spring show.
The potential from this cross is huge, there should be some incredibly complex looking seedlings with some chunky shapes and distorted proportions with lots of reds and yellows.
