Sarracenia "Wilkersons Red" is a beautiful red moorei from the Wilkersons bog in Walton County Florida that has incredible shaped pitchers that produces large spring pitchers and a second set of pitchers in late summer. This clone fills out a pot nicely and is an excellent display piece for your garden or collection.
Spring pitchers are approximately 24" tall, 1.5"-2" diameter, bright white with red venation on the top. August pitchers are 20" tall, 2.5" diameter and more rigid. Peristomes mature to red when grown in bright light. Hood columns are narrow, often resulting in the lid touching in the back. Established plants typically produce 2 leaves per growth point in the spring, followed by summer phylodia. In August, plants typically produce two more leaves per growth point.
Both of these stunning moorei are strong growers for us and we wanted to cross them together for more of that type of plant, there should be quite a variety in looks from this cross from solid red to veined to possibly even some mostly white plants like we've seen in other lunchbox crosses.
Each packet contains approximately 25 seeds.
