Description: Sarracenia mitchelianna is the hybrid of S. leucophylla and purpurea. Vibrant color and frilly hood on low-growing leaves make this an excellent choice for the perimeter of a bog garden. It makes great leaves in the spring and summer, but look for the best show of leaves in the late summer.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant Juthatip Soper in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. In an outdoor bog garden, use a mixture of peat moss and sand. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
