Description: Sarracenia flava var. ornata is one of the more striking color variants of the trumpet pitcher. Its distinctive chartreuse and red veins lend drama and visual contrast to any bog garden. It produces very large 32" tall leaves in the spring (pictured); phylodia and thinner leaves are produced in the spring and fall.
You will receive one of the spectacular clones from the photo. They are all seed-grown by Flytrap King nursery.
Care: Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. In a bog garden, use a mixture of peat moss and sand. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.Orders placed from the following states will ship Bare Root: AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA
