Description: Sarracenia flava ‘Waccamaw’ x flava var rubricorpora is the product of some of Steve Galic's breeding work. He crossed two different red forms of Sarracenia flava together; atropurpurea, and rubricorpora. We obtained two clones from him and they are both stunning plants, they grow to about 24 inches in height and look like mini deep-red flava var rubricorpora. These flavas also make great breeders for us here at the nursery and have produced some very dark seedlings.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a extremely large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
