S. "Caitrin Claire" has stately proportions and excellent shape with a narrow hood column that holds the hood high above the mouth. It tends to pass on its shape and color to most of its offspring. It makes its best leaves in the spring.
S. 'Dionne' is a European hybrid that is strong growing and produces white and green leaves that quickly mature to hot pink. We haven't used it much as a plant parent, but it is likely to create seedlings with plenty of pink and white! It makes its best leaves in the fall.
The best seedlings from this cross will have a narrow hood column and make leaves in the spring and fall.
