Description: Sarracenia "Megalodon" grows to gargantuan proportions in the spring. It has a massive presence that stops garden visitors in their tracks. Spring leaves grow to 32" tall with 5" lids and have narrow hood columns with beautifully undulating lines.
S. "Megalodon" was purchased in a group of S. flava seedlings from Jerry Addington. We suspect it has S. oreophila in its distant parentage.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
All plants will ship bare root, without pots and soil.
